"Your album has been on a loop in my car. You know I grew
up in Maryland, home of Little Feet, and listening to Robert Palmer, Boz
Scaggs so this is very, very familiar territory.Happy and familiar."
VS" I was trawling through get me music for music to listen to and came
upon your music I like it and its cool and I am going to buy it fairly
soon. Its on my wish list. I have been to your website and discovered you
record your music yourself that is also great too. You are making a great job
of the recording it sounds crispine clear and neat and tidy for a
home recording very proffessionally done."
Ade
"Hi, My name is Jimmy
Young I am an R&B/Soul artist at Get Me Music.com and I was listening to
your stuff and I want to tell you that you guys sound great...
Congratulations, and I hope to meet you all in the future whenever I tour
europe... cheers."
"Your music is great. Reminds me a lot of Michael
McDonald or even Steely Dan. I have not purchased much downloaded music nor
have I found much that is appealing for me to buy. Your group was definately
an exception.Thanks"
Jonathan
Your albums have earned a permanent
place on my playlist. When do you plan to release the third album? (I'll be
waiting in line at Magnatune :) K.K.
"Oh, it's likeLevel 42, and a bit of
The Meters, and then I like the lyrics a lot. Can I be a Star? is really fun.
And Lamborghino has a nice beat. Actually, it's really really great! Good
Luck!"
"I loke "Doodelido", funky groove with a very nice
vibraphone-solo. But the best one is "Consuelo", great guitar playing and
great arrangement. Smart lyrics as well." J.K.
"What makes it for me
are the lyrics, even though you obviously are very competent in your field of
old school retro RnB soul Funk and Jazz, and blues, and pop... :-)"
Mike
"It's such diversity, first I felt it was too much, but then It was
more like 'Oh, another surprise", which was nice. Why should an album be
tied to the same style anyway? Keep your style BT!, diversity in jazz,
funk, soul and blues, with that swedish pop-touch, and the Zappa lyrics!
Great!" Jude
I like the lyrics of this particular music and yes the horns are very brilliant.
For me its the lyrics that does it. It reminds me of Michael Franks. You guys
are really good with your lyrics and the delivery of the lyrics. It sounds like
Mike Franks in style and delivery, so be ready to face the critics on this one
accusing you of trying to copy him.

It’s soo Steely Dan, and Sade,
but better.

I love the record! (Rock This Moon). Have you guys
ever heard of a group called Steely Dan? They must have been listening to you a
lot :-) Let me know if you have any gigs. I’ll be there!

...listening to both of oyur CDs at the moment .. daily .. VERY cooL!!! .. both!!!

"Blues and misc." a very nice album totally and completely different from the
Rock the moon and the art of not blending in. I like the lyrics of some of the
songs. I cant remember the titles. The one that I love the most in terms of
lyrics was a song about someone thornside sang about who couldn't dance and for
this reason hes not in love with her and another one about a woman who is so
high to maintain. Thornside has a very clear voice. I think the best album you
have done so far is Rock the moon, perhaps because I am more into slow jams and
ballads so this could be a biased and not so objective view."

Give me the rack! Flog me!! Burn, kick and
punch me!! Anything!! But please don’t make me listen to Burnshee Thornside!!
Imagine Weird Al doing Steely Dan covers or maybe your drunk aunt singing some
Steely Dan karaoke. Don’t get me wrong the musicians are first rate but the
lyrics are lame and HORRIBLE and the vox are HORRIBLE and lame just like my
spelling and grammar. Keep away from children.
